June is here already...where did the time go? There are so many of life's big moments in June; graduations, weddings, and don't forget Dad on Father's Day! Summertime is typically one of the "busy seasons" for entertainers, with street fairs and parties in full swing for the warm weather, but don't assume you won't be able to get quality entertainment if you haven't booked already. While it is true that most entertainers book up weeks or months in advance, it happens upon occasion that we find ourselves with openings in our schedules. Here are a few simple tips to help you with your last-minute bookings...
1. don't be afraid to call and ask...a professional will not be offended that you are calling last minute; especially if they are available.
2. if possible, be flexible. how firm is your date or time? how attached are you to having a balloon twister instead of a face painter? if you are able to be flexible, your odds of finding a professional who is available will increase.
3. don't be afraid to ask for a recommendation. if your preferred entertainer is not available, ask for a reference from them., a professional will refer you to someone they believe will suit your needs, and you have the peace of mind that can only come from not having to make another "cold call"
these are just a few tips to help you out. Happy June parties!
